[ So. The thing about his betas slowly popping up in Asgard is that Derek is starting to get the bits and pieces of what goes down back in Beacon Hills while stuck here. So far, the most positive thing he's heard is that Gerard Argent is as good as dead, and things are back to normal. Dead thanks to Scott's plan, no less.
It turns out Derek hadn't been on the right tracks at all, in fact-- losing betas from your pack kind of makes that clear. ]
Scott.
[ Ignoring him will be an open invitation for a more personal visit. ]
What did you expect, Derek? Your last conversation with him hurt him pretty badly. At least in the physical sense.
A couple of hours later Scott is heading back to his room after seeing Stiles in Odin, so if Derek would like to sit in his room and wait for him to show up like a complete creeper... ]
Seriously, how do you keep seeing or hearing about these creatures that sound like they belong in a Disney movie?
[ He smiles at her excitement. ] You're so cute. [ The kind of cute he wants to tell all of Asgard over the network, but he won't to save her embarrassment. ]
[Erica is a lurker. QUEEN of the lurking. Okay, technically, she saw Lydia and the puppy in the sweater and had a flashback to gym class before she arrived here and the comment about how Erica was "just freaking out" during her climb. Then she read things and then she got worried.]
You're not going to fire Isaac are you? Now that you have Lydia helping?
[And he's going to you instead of Derek becaaaaaause...?]
Jackson is here. Hopefully they'll send him home whenever this mess is cleared up. But in the meantime he's running around in a towel and insulting everyone he sees.
[Soon after Scott and Stiles get around to making the offerings, Scott will find an ornate dog collar sitting on his desk. It's accompanied by a note written in flowing, slanted script.]
[ It's so pretty, and Scott doesn't care how unmanly that sounds. He's sure Allison will love it.
Looks like him and Allison will be getting another pet because they have to put such a beautiful dog collar to good use. He can't sell the gift. Scott imagines the gods won't take too kindly to him doing that. He'll probably end up being married to Derek next if he does sell it. ]
[ this text is simultaneously apologetic and angry, not that tone really carries. if it helps, he's mostly pissed off at the gods, or the apples, or whatever. this is non-apology number three, he's finally put two and two together. ]
i dont know who to talk to everyone is going crazy i thought sophie and erica were gonna kill me and jade killed someone and people are being murdered and there are bodies hanging in the practice rooms and
I haven't seen her since that video she accidentally posted on the network of me and Allison training... I thought maybe she went to Vanahiem with Allison. Why? Did you need to talk to her?
[ Allison thought that the hardest thing she's done thus far, aside from becoming the one that calls the shots when it came to hunting, was breaking up with Scott. But now that she's back here, with her Asgard memories conflicting drastically with her memories from home, she realizes that this is the hardest thing she'll ever have to do. Not only does she have to break up with Scott again, but she has to explain why. She has to get her things from him and move back into her own room, has to get him to understand when he hasn't gone through what she has. Back home, he knew what had happened, but here...
They were living together, for God's sake. Things were amazing between them and now she has to ruin that. Again.
But the longer she puts it off, the harder it's going to be. Not only that but she can't hide out at Jo's forever; he'd eventually find out she was back or, worse yet, he'd run into her out and about somewhere and she'd have to explain why she had been avoiding him as well.
If only she could convince herself that staying with him here was the right thing to do. But she needs time to herself, time to grieve. Knowing about her mother's death in advance here didn't help at all back home - after all, she didn't remember anything about this place - and it hasn't done much since she woke up. The only thing that's changed drastically is that she's apologized to Isaac and that she knows the truth about what happened. She hasn't gotten through her grieving yet. She hasn't even started, honestly.
So as much as she wishes she could just go to Scott, at the pet shop or at their - his - room, she can't. She knows that she would just curl up in his arms again and let him hold her instead of doing what she needs to do. ]
I'm awake again.
[ There's so many questions she has for him, like why he took her to Jo's, but those aren't quite as important. Besides, if she starts asking stuff like that, she'll just put off the inevitable and lose her nerve. ]
And I'm okay. I know you were probably worried, but I'm fine. [ Physically, anyway. And now comes the hard part: ] Are you busy? I need to talk to you.
text; and then I remembered why we avoided this for so long, EVERYTHING HURTS
[ The worst part isn't not knowing when Allison will wake up, it's not knowing what time she'll return from back home. And that's if she even went home. Maybe she didn't. Maybe she'll wake up still thinking she's his girlfriend.
What Scott hopes for the most is Allison waking up from the same time he's from. It's probably the best-case scenario in terms of what could happen with Isaac. Though part of Scott thinks he's completely deluded himself into thinking the three of them could work romantically. But after getting sent home, coming back, then getting sent to a version of Asgard where he felt free to admit there was affection between him and Isaac that went deeper than friendship, an attraction - being with him and Allison feels like a natural next step. Because he's still in love with Allison and he can see himself falling in love with Isaac too. And then there's the connection between Isaac and Allison that exists both here and back home.
Everything depends on Allison waking up so they can find out how she feels. So when Scott gets the text from her saying she needs to talk him, the hopeful part of him thinks maybe Allison did wake up from the same time as him and she's finally plucked up the courage to talk to him about the night of the masquerade. ]
Not busy. Come to my room?
[ It's probably not the reply she's expecting, calling it his room instead of theirs, no "hey sleeping beauty" or "I missed you so much", the kind of messages he would have sent her if they were still together. But he has missed her, not just here but back home too, and he's looking forward to seeing her, even if he feels nervous about it. ]
