[ Luckily Scott bumps into a newly arrived Stiles in Odin. Scott leaves him with Erica once they find her and makes his way to the jail with the money to bail Isaac out. Once he's paid, he sits on the steps outside the building and waits for Isaac to be let out. ]

[Isaac is a little tired- sleeping on a hard jail bench kind of sucks. Needless to say, he's happy to be out of there, and he's pleased enough that Scott was cool enough to post bail.

He'll pay him back... somehow, anyway.]

Hey.

[He gives Scott a wry smile, shoving his hands in his pockets as he leaves the main doors of the prison and steps down until he's standing next to Scott.]

Thanks.

[ Isaac probably won't be thanking Scott once he knows what Scott has in store for him... "store" being the operative word. He joins Isaac standing. ]

Erica's fine. Stiles just got back so I left her with him. [ He doesn't know how much Isaac trusts Stiles, but Scott trusts him with his life so he hopes Isaac trusts his judgement. ] Are you okay?

Good to hear.

[Well, that bit about Erica, anyway. Isaac never really got along well with Stiles, but he's sure that Scott's happy about it at least.

At the question, he just sort of shrugged.]

Cellmate was another guy from Hel. He got in there by breaking into a morgue and cutting the bodies open. [Isaac makes a little face.] But other than that visual, I'm fine. Just tired.

You shared a cell with someone who cuts dead bodies open. Who's in your house. [ Scott just stares at him in disbelief. ]

You're coming with me. [ Scott walks the rest of the way down the steps, expecting Isaac to follow. ]

Unfortunately, it's not really an uncommon thing.

[Isaac moves after him without much of a second thought. Is he in trouble? Him? Never.]

He's the second or third Hel guy I've met that does it.

Seriously? It's a pattern? [ He should probably tell Stiles later. It might interest him... No, definitely interest him. Sometimes he worried about his best friend. ] The people are so creepy in your house...

[ After a pause, he adds: ] No offense.

[ They reach the bottom of the steps. ] Aren't you gonna ask where we're going?

I didn't ask to be put in there.

[He sighs, shoving his hands in his pockets.]

Why, is it somewhere bad?

[Totally thought you were taking him to go see Erica, dude, what is this?]

No. I'm not Derek.

[ Derek might have took Scott to a quiet place here once to dislocate his shoulder. Good times. ]

We're going to my pet store. [ He starts walking in the direction of Freya. ]

[Wow Derek, what a jerk. Isaac totally gets where you're coming from, Scott.]

...the pet store?

[Not... getting it...]

I don't think a pet is gonna help. We should be going back to the pharmacy. Maybe we can bribe them into giving us medication without a prescription.

That's what you've been thinking about in jail? Bribery? [ Not the fact that he needs to clean up his act after the talk Scott gave him? You're getting a disappointed look right now, Isaac. ]

Like they're gonna let you walk back in there. You've probably been banned from that place. She needs to see a doctor so she can get a prescription the proper way.

I'm not giving you a pet. I'm giving you a job and you're taking it.

What?

[When Scott's voice rises, so does his own. Isaac grits his teeth and stops cold at the sidewalk.]

I'm not working at the pet store.

Yes, you are. [ It's for your own good, Isaac. Scott stops as well but Isaac better get his ass moving again soon before Scott drags him by his ear. ] You owe me.

I owe you- a favor. Some money, maybe.

[Pet stores, really Scott. Have you totally forgotten the few times that you and Isaac totally werewolf brawled, because Isaac hasn't, and it's still fresh enough on his knuckles to think-

-but no. No, he's trying out the whole 'don't hit people just because you're angry' deal. And it would be bad to even try to lash out in anger now, so he holds himself back.]

Not a lifetime of cleaning cages and selling puppies.

[Okay though, Isaac would be the best puppy salesman ever. Just look at him.

When he's not... glaring... that is.]

Where are you gonna get money from? You gonna steal it from the bank? [ Don't get any ideas, Isaac. ]

It won't be a lifetime. One month. That's all. Then you can leave if you want. I'll even pay you so you won't be working for free. [ He's being very generous here. ]

[He opens his mouth but wow, yeah, he's

really got nothing.

After a moment, Isaac closes it again, folding his arms across his chest with a sullen frown. Honestly, it's not like he had anything better to do with his free time anyway. And Scott is giving him a really good offer, here.]

...alright. Fine.

[Sulk.]

One month.

[ Scott smiles when Isaac finally agrees. ]

It'll be fun. [ He's so optimistic. ]

[Isaac grumbles out something in exchange and shoves his hands in his pockets.

And actually, it will be, once he gets over his sullen disposition. It's only really when he doesn't think Scott's looking, but he'll coo at the birds, play with the puppies, pet the kittens while they're sleeping. Sales go up, animals are happy, and they're going to have have an... odd increase in female customers.

Plus, it has the added benefit of keeping Isaac out of trouble. Mostly. Good job, Scott. Good deeds for you.]
